We are actively looking for an Engineer in Training with an inspection and rehabilitation (I&R) or marine/waterfront background to join our Baton Rouge (preferred) or New Orleans, LA office.
As the successful new hire, you will join a team of professional engineers, EITs and inspectors that provide a growing suite of bridge services to LADOTD, MDOT, OSARC and other agencies in the area.
Services include complex bridge inspections and load ratings, with supporting offices providing concrete bridge design, steel bridge design, bridge widening and replacement, grade separations, seismic retrofit, pump stations, underground structures, and retaining walls.
In addition, our waterfront team provides design and other engineering services for large and small marinas, ports, terminals, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures.

Develops plans, specifications, contract documents, bid specifications, and cost estimates as needed to support waterfront infrastructure development and rehabilitation work Performs field inspections Helps resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project Calculates construction quantity estimates May occasionally supervise and schedule work of other team members including staff engineers and CAD designers Performs analysis, design, inspection of waterfront structures, asset management, submarine systems, and other maritime projects Structural analysis and design with timber, steel, concrete and composite materials Develops plans, specifications, and calculations as needed Works closely with other disciplines including architects, engineers, scientists, project managers, etc.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university degree program 2 to 4 years of experience in design, bridge / waterfront inspection or bridge load ratings Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required Ability and willingness to obtain Professional Engineer (P.

) license Strong technical writing capabilities (self-authored sample required) Experience using AutoCAD Preferred experience using: SAP2000 STAAD LPile Revit MicroStation NHI-130055 bridge inspection certification preferred or willingness and ability to obtain Ability and willingness to travel as required.
