Job Posting Title: Assistant / Associate Professor Position Type: Faculty Department: LSUAM COB - AAO - School of Economics (Faik A Koray (00006987)) Work Location: 2300 BEC South Grad Pavilion Pay Grade: Academic Job Description: Assistant / Associate Professor The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant / Associate Professor rank to begin in Fall 2024.
Applicants should have strong research skills in state-of-the-art methods in applied econometrics, and expertise in one of the fields listed in the JEL classifications (Health, Labor, Public, Law, Applied Micro, Energy, Environmental Economics).
The Associate Professor rank comes with tenure.
Associate Professors and senior Assistant Professors are highly encouraged to apply.
ABD candidates will be considered but they should receive their PhD in Economics by August 2024.
Senior applicants must have a strong research record and junior candidates must show promise for the development of a solid research agenda.
Job Responsibilities: 50%- Research 40% - Teach senior level / graduate courses in at least one of the following areas: Health, Labor, Public Economics, Law and Economics, Energy, or Environmental Economics 10%- Serving on department , college, and university committees Minimum Qualifications: Education Level: PhD in Economics or related field.
For Assistant Professor level, ABD candidates will be considered but they must have Ph.
D.
conferred by hire date.
