Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flooring Installer to join our team.
As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, knowledge of different flooring techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install various types of flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile
- Prepare the work area by removing old flooring, leveling the subfloor, and ensuring proper moisture barriers
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated space
- Install flooring using appropriate adhesives, fasteners, or interlocking systems
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials
- Trim and finish edges using appropriate tools and techniques
- Clean and maintain work area before, during, and after installation
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful completion of projects
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or similar role
- Solid understanding of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to flooring installation
- Knowledge of drywall installation, fixture installation, construction painting, buffing, concrete finishing, and restoration industry is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installation
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
