Position Description
Incumbent serves as an attorney supervisor to the Office of the Secretary of LDH on matters relating to the following programs/offices: 1) Medicaid Eligibility [including, but not limited to, policy, rulemaking, appeals, and forms and notices]; 2) Medicaid Eligibility Quality Control (MEQC) and Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM) Programs; 3) Medicaid Long Term Care; 4) Federal Data Sources and Compliance Audits; 5) Medicaid Procurements and Contracts; 6) Medicaid Advance Planning Documents; 7) Medicaid Conditions for Enhanced Funding; 8) Medicaid Systems; 9) Compliance with the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA); and 10) Louisiana Commission for the Deaf (LCD) and other LDH boards/commissions.
Incumbent will work on special litigation project involving state and federal Medicaid issues and litigation projects of Department-wide impact or significance.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a license to practice law in the state of Louisiana, plus four years of experience as a practicing attorney.
