Experienced Litigation Paralegal needed for small employment discrimination law firm.
This is a part-time, 100% remote position, averaging 10-20 hours per week.
Our office generally handles employment discrimination claims.
Understanding of Title VII law, employment discrimination claims, and the EEOC process is required.
Extensive experience in legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs is required.
Experience filing claims in federal court using Pacer is also required.

*Prerequisites:*
* Understanding litigation concepts such as motions, pleadings, discovery, etc.
* Mastery of correspondence skills and English language/grammar
* High proficiency in filing pleadings in person and electronically (Pacer): State and Federal
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat: able to convert to/from .
pdf file format, able to perform OCR/text recognition
* Proficiency with cloud-based document storage applications (Dropbox)
* Proficiency with cloud-based e-mail applications
* Experience with trial preparation
* Understanding of Title VII claims and Employment Discrimination law preferred
* Understanding of the EEOC investigative process is preferred
Responsibilities include:
* assistance with preparation of filing charges of discrimination with the EEOC and in state and federal court (using Pacer)
* extensive legal research in support of employment discrimination claims
* drafting and filing routine memorandums and briefs in support of employment discrimination claims
* scheduling, taking/making calls, fax, email, scan, etc.
as needed
* updating clients on case investigation status as needed
* maintaining case files and documents in MyCase and Dropbox
* requesting/organizing records
* scheduling depositions
* assisting attorneys with mediation and trial preparation
* file organization and maintenance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.
