Job Description
• Provide clerical and administrative support such as answering phones, taking messages, prepare mailings, filing, scheduling meetings, sending meeting invitations, and compiling meeting minutes.
• Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects and other documents.
• Assist with the development, proofreading, and editing of Program reports, white papers, abstracts and fact sheets.
• Review multiple databases to research individual Medicaid application and enrollment status, receipt of Medicaid cards for Program participants, release dates for Program participants.
• Compile Excel workbooks to request updates of Medicaid records and submit help tickets as needed.
• Assist with tracking local and Federal legislation related to Program.
• Assist with survey design and compiling survey responses.
• Attend meetings, webinars on supervisor’s behalf.
• Conduct scholarly research and literature reviews on topics related to program or target population as needed.
• Keep supervisor informed of any problems or potential problems with program implementation or monitoring.
• Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment when working with client PHI.
• Assist LDH management with day-to-day tasks.
• Other tasks as directed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or 6 years of professional work experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up.
• Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
• Must be able to pass a background check and gain admittance to correctional facilities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in healthcare, health administration, social work or a related field.
• Experience in Medicaid programs, the justice-involved population, or criminal justice system.
• Professional experience with LDH systems or programs utilized by the Department.
• Experience establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external clients in diverse communities and community organizations.
