McKinley Elementary School is seeking a *Elementary School Teacher* for our *Elementary School Classroom.

*About the Position:*
Teachers are responsible for the development and implementation of a curriculum that is age-appropriate, developmentally appropriate, and developmentally relevant to the students they teach.
Teachers are also responsible for the daily operations of their classroom and providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for their students.
Teachers will partner with Lead Teacher in providing support as needed.
*Duties:*
* Provide individualized, creative, and engaging learning experiences for students
* Develop a classroom environment that is supportive of student growth and development
* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
* Follow curriculum, lesson plans, lesson transitions, classroom management, teacher management, and teacher management protocols as set forth by McKinley Elementary School
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, student assessments, and parent meetings as needed
* Develop effective communication skills with parents to ensure student success
* Adhere to Baton Rouge, LA state guidelines regarding classroom safety and security as well as OSHA and local health department regulations
* Other duties as assigned by Lead Teacher or Director of Education
*Skills:*
* Must have a valid Baton Rouge, LA teaching license or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field.
(Preferred)
* Minimum one year experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
(Preferred)
* Must have a valid CPR First Aid certification.
(Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.
