*DESCRIPTION: *Reporting to the Sr.
HMIS System Administrator, the below job description outlines the role of HMIS Training Coordinator, representing the HMIS model utilized with the LA BOSCOC.
This job description includes responsibility and representation of the CoC made up of 22 Parishes.
This position acts as the point of contact for providers and end users within the HMIS.
The HMIS Training Coordinator will have a strong aptitude for providing technical support to non‐technical database users and databases.
Under the direction of the Sr.
HMIS System Administrator, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading HMIS training activities and developing training materials, contributing content to monthly HMIS user meetings, and providing technical support to HMIS participating agencies.
*System Training*
● Serves as technical support to HMIS agencies to ensure appropriate use of the system.
● Supports the ongoing development of HMIS training and education materials, including the development of new and maintenance of existing training materials, and conducting training in online seminar format.
● Facilitation of training for new and existing training staff, performing end user system audits to verify activity, tracking results of training outcomes, and following up with agencies as it pertains to user access and system needs.
● Manages HMIS user licenses.
● Coordinates with Sr.
HMIS System Administrator to ensure timely retirement of projects in the system.
● Ongoing support including but not limited to system monitoring and testing, problem diagnosis and resolution, and updates to HMIS.
● Provides content for monthly HMIS user meetings to address appropriate system use, recommend system improvements, facilitate information sharing and identify best practices.
● Maintains quality, accessibility, and functionality of HMIS by keeping up to date with release notes and other documentation from the HMIS vendor and HUD.
● Creates educational documentation on the use of HMIS and HUD policy for a non‐technical audience as needed.
*Reporting*
● Management of online user request ticket system (Trello).
● Monthly monitoring of end user activity.
*Position Requirements*
● Remote work possible in a hybrid environment
● Must be available to travel within the CoC up to 25 percent of the time to assist with the program and provide training and system access as needed.
● Available for nights and weekends during large projects like the HUD Data reporting, Point-in-Time Count, CoC Program NOFO, or other funding competitions.
● Must reside in the State of Louisiana.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.
