38* SUMMARY The Part Time Maintenance Technician I (Mail Carrier) works under the direct supervision of the Supervisor I or II.
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for making independent decisions in their area of responsibility based on department rules and procedures.
The work may be physically demanding in nature and involves distributing mail across three local parishes.
MAJOR DUTIES · Delivers deposits, packets, or items to designated offices and other office related errands · Carries mail to various offices in three local parishes · Relieves officials of clerical work and monitors administrative and business details · Routes incoming and outgoing mail, may need to scan documents · Prepares and reviews routine correspondence, may include PO’s and time sheets, addresses public input to department · Any other duties assigned by the supervisor *MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS* * _Education and Experience_: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required *LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS – CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT* · The incumbent is required to have a current, and the ability to maintain, Louisiana state driver’s license.
· The incumbent is subject to pre-employment physical and drug test with random drug testing thereafter.
