The Dart Dispatcher is responsible for answering the phone and directing the call, answering questions, or facilitate the creation of a customer work order for service.
Must manage the schedules and locations of all technicians, assign Purchase Orders for truck inventory and repairs, and order special parts required for completion of work orders.
This is done primarily through the schedule board where the dispatcher will receive customer calls, enter work orders, and assign technicians to work orders during the work day.
A successful dispatcher will keep all technicians busy, order parts, manage aging work orders, and ensure that priority issues are resolved first.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Provide superior customer service by answering calls, making follow-up customer satisfaction calls, and preparing thank you letters for all new customers.
Communicate customer issues to management.
Dispatch Technicians based on scheduled work orders and customer calls.
Manage the scheduling of Technician’s weekend rotation shifts and coordinate with the answering service.
Provide Technical Support for tablet based software.
Maintain on-site inventories.
Perform truck inventories at periodic intervals.
Receive and Manage Technician Reports.
Obtain vendor quotes and proper authorization to place orders when requested.
Associate pending parts orders to unscheduled work orders.
Create Purchase Orders (POs) for technicians and/or vendors, receive items, process payment to vendors.
Create estimates and other communications for customers.
Ensure reimbursables are tied to Work Orders.
Manage uniform matters for new and existing technicians.
Assist with varying office duties.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or three or more years’ related experience in dispatch, parts manage, office administration, sales, and/or bookkeeping.
Experience in the supermarket industry and or commercial refrigeration industry is a plus.
Computer Skills
Ability to operate a Personal Computer to run financial and scheduling software, ‘surf’ the internet for parts, and organize e-mail correspondences.
Strong typing skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
The ability to operate printer, fax, copy, and scanning machines.
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications
Valid driver’s license and appropriate motor vehicle record.
